We got him from the Perry Barr retired greyhound trust. The plight of retired racers in the UK is truly shocking. Many of them when they have reached the end of their carreer, on average at age 3, are destroyed. These dogs can live for 12-15 years. It is only through the work of such charities as the Retired Greyhound Trust that a lucky few are saved. They are gentle creatures who make excellent pets. They need very little walking and are good with children. If you are looking for a dog, then please consider a retired greyhound. Please remember that you would be entering into a commitment for the lifetime of the dog and you should not consider getting a dog unless you are able to achieve this.
